This film is not meant to be serious, we were just playing around and getting to grips with the equipment.
My two favourite to use were both the slider and the fig rig. I liked using the slider because getting those smooth, low down shots of people walking past and other things like that make the hot so much more interesting. Some of the shots you can get using a slider are so unique, no other piece of equipment can get shots like it.
I also enjoyed the fig rig. It surprised me how smooth you could get the shots. The fig rig is really versatile. If you hold the top of the fig rig whilst walking along with the camera close to the ground looks really effective from the camera’s perspective.
The piece of equipment I found most difficult was the Steadicam. It was rally hard to keep it facing in one direction, it kept on turning round. After some practise though I’m sure it will be a lot easier to handle.
